Ramon Rubio, 89,passed away on Feb. 17, 2021, in Fresno Ca.

A father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he was a long-time resident of Madera. He was a wonderful friend to many.

When he had chickens, he was known as "grandpa chicken". He loved music and loved dancing until he couldn't anymore. He was proud of each and every one of his children.

Survivors include his sisters, Alvina Rodriguez of Bakersfield and Delma Rodriguez of Gilroy, his brother Pilar Rubio of Worland, Wyoming, daughters Dorothy Zaragosa and Frances Salinas, both of Madera, Mary von Saltza of Montague, Gloria Flores of Fresno, sons Ray Rubio of Rowland Heights, John Rubio of Hollister, 15 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and his companion Maria Elena Flores and her daughter Maria Flores.

Due to health restrictions, there will be a private Celebration of Life.
