Lilly (Luern Lee) Gong passed away peacefully on January 19, 2021 of natural causes. She was 89 years old.



Lilly was born in a village just outside of Guangzhou, China on February 10, 1931. She was 1 of 4 children born to Ciu Hem Lee and Miau Fong.



Lilly enjoyed tending her garden of Chinese fruits and vegetables, practicing tai chi, feeding her pet and wild birds, and watching Chinese operas, kung fu movies and The Little House on the Prairie TV series. She also enjoyed cooking jook, stir frying vegetables from her garden, and eating out, especially dim sum.



Lilly was preceded in death by her husband Fred M. Gong, daughter Joyce Gong, and grandson Alex Gong. She is survived by 3 children (Linda, James, and Alfred), 3 grandchildren (Russell, Gary, and Chantel), 6 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
