Gary entered the gates of Heaven on December 4, 2021, from a battle with Covid weakend by Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

Gary was born in Reedley, Ca to T.R. and Dorothy Hutchens into a family with seven children. He grew up in the area of Dinuba, Ca. He resided in the Madera Ranchos with his wife Sharon for the past 35 years.

He was a General Engineering Contractor before retiring. He enjoyed helping his friends in the paving business until the end. He loved the work and the people he worked with; they were his extended family.

He loved to tinker on something if it was broke. He would for the most part get it working again. He loved fishing trips to the Wishon Reservoir with his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife Sharon, his daughters Hillary and Jessica, his son Gary Jr, his stepdaughter Carrie along with her husband Ashton and his three grandchildren Jonas, Owen and Ily. His surviving siblings Cecil and Joyce as well his many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date. Memorial donations can be made to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society as well the Alta District Historical Society .
