Donald Edward Scott

Donald Edward Scott, a fourth generation Fresnan passed away peacefully on 3/21/22. His loving wife Lynne Scott, daughter Kimberly Davalos, son Jeff Scott and grandson Derek Deanda were at his bedside to comfort him and let him know that he was so dearly loved by all.

Don was preceded in death by his parents Leland Edward Scott, and Marjorie Ann Scott.Surviving immediate family members are siblings Troy Scott of Chico Calif, and Carol Scott Erickson of Bermuda Dunes CA.

Don and his wife Lynne Serpa Scott graduated from Fresno High School in 1965 and married in 1967. They moved to Las Vegas for many years where Don worked for Nabisco in Sales. They returned to Fresno to raise their children near family. In Fresno Don worked in fine menswear.

Everyone who met Don was a friend, he loved talking to people and making others feel important and loved. Don was passionate about many things. He was so proud of his children and their spouses Pablo Davalos and Stephanie Ursany Scott. You could not have a conversation with Don without him telling you about how proud he was of their accomplishments. He would light up with joy when talking about his grandchildren Derek, Emily, Olivia and Amelia.

Some of Don's other passions were: Music, Photography, and his beloved original 1976 Orange Chevy Cheyenne Blazer! Even though he had many offers over the years to sell his Blazer he would not part with it and drove it around town proudly.

He loved listening to music and sharing his favorite songs with others; he took beautiful photos of the flora and fauna in his yard, especially his ability to capture hummingbirds in flight.

The family has asked that remembrances be sent to the Fresno Rescue Mission where his son in law Pablo Davolos is the Aftercare Coordinator. A family memorial date is pending.
