Obituary

In loving memories of David Lewis Kinney who was taken from us to soon. David Lewis Kinney, 58, a loving husband of nearly 32 years to Nina, this kindhearted soul has unexpectedly left his home in Fresno California for good on Monday August 10, 2020. Originally a Native of Georgia born on January 9, 1962 to Mary E. Kinney formerly Burch and the late Richard S. Kinney. David graduated from San Joaquin Valley College with a degree in Mechanics, however he ended up working various jobs instead. He retired from his position as an electronic assembly linesmen due to a former back injury and he is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. David is a talented and intelligent man who is constantly helping people and loves to play chess and be outdoors. However, his passion is swimming, something he did on a daily basis to maintain his health. David is a papa bear to his children not only in appearance but also in disposition as well, he is very caring, loving and extremely protective, although he can also be strict to his children as well. David also enjoyed spending quality time with his family especially his six grandchildren. David leaves his legacy behind with his three children Avrialle Lanoy Yommala, her husband Samnal, Khriste Lee Kinney, Richard David Kinney, his wife Edna, David's six grandchildren, David's wife Nina, his brothers Richard Brian Kinney and Kenneth Sterling Kinney, his sister Cynthia Renee Orso, along with his nieces and nephews. David may not have been able to attend church as much as he would have like, however it does not change the facts that he is and always would be a man of faith. A viewing will be held in honor of David Lewis Kinney at the Yost & Webb Funeral Home on Tuesday August 18, 2020. In the loving memories of David Lewis Kinney, a wonderful father, a loving husband, a kindhearted hardworking soul, a man of faith, and a U.S. Air Force veteran. We will always hold him dear in our hearts. Farewell, Papa Bear.
