Dale Fredrick
Schiebelhut
April 4, 1953 – September 9, 2019
Dale Fredrick Schiebelhut, cherished father, son, brother, uncle and great-uncle passed away on September 26, 2019 at the age of 66.
Dale was a lifelong resident of Fresno. After finishing McLane High School, he became the first in his family to go to college, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Fresno State in 1975. While at Fresno State he also participated in the Fresno State Marching Band where he played alto saxophone. Upon graduation he began a career in music becoming the manager of several Wherehouse and Record Factory music stores. In addition to music his other passion was aviation. Because of health reasons he was unable to pursue a career in aviation, but his enthusiasm for WWII aircraft remained his entire life. He spent countless hours building scale models of vintage aircraft that would decorate his home. The time, attention, and detail he would put into these models was truly breathtaking. This would also be coupled with an encyclopedic knowledge of the campaigns and theaters each aircraft participated in.
Those that knew him would know that he loved his family more than anything else, especially his daughter, Morgan Schiebelhut of Fresno, CA. He would look forward to the various family gatherings from birthdays, holidays, and other special occasions. Anytime the family would gather and connect with one another he could be counted on to be there to share in the celebrations. He will be sorely missed at all these events as a key member of the family that loved him and will miss him dearly.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Irene Schiebelhut and is survived by his daughter Morgan, sister Janet Kisling, brother Jerry Schiebelhut as well as nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Remembrances can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
