Christina Royal
Balloue
May 25, 1930 – February 5, 2022
Christina Royal Balloue was born in Eureka, California to Norman and Marguerite Hamer. She went to the arms of her Savior on February 5, 2022 after a brief hospice stay in her daughter's home. She lived a full, active 91 years and was ready to leave this world.
She retired from Blue Cross of California as an Underwriter and she and her husband Pete settled in Oakdale, California. They enjoyed traveling in their motor home and fishing.
Christina was very active in the Native Daughters of the Golden West, Oakdale Parlor No. 125, having served as President for a time. She seldom missed a meeting or gathering.
Her baked goods were treasured by all who were blessed to receive them. She baked everyone's favorite cake for their birthday and decorated many wedding cakes, as well. Until the last few years Christmas treats were also plentiful.
It's impossible to reduce 91 years of a full life to a few paragraphs, but those who knew her have memories that are theirs to cherish.
She was preceded in death by her husband Mayburn "Pete" Balloue and her son Kevin Jeffries.
She is survived, and terribly missed, by her daughter Kimberly Reed and son-in-law Randy; step-daughter Gloria Winton and son-in-law Gary; step-son John Balloue and daughter-in-law Diane; granddaughters Vanessa Smith (who helped with her care at the end), Tricia Starks, Elizabeth Balloue, Rebecca Larimer and grandsons Josh Reed and Darin Winton as well as 10 great-grandchildren.
No services will be held at this time. Family will gather at a future date to scatter her ashes.
