Annette "Nettie" Duarte
1962 - 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Annette, who left this earth on June 27, 2024, at the age of 61 after a cancer diagnosis in January. She was surrounded by family and friends in the days leading up to her passing. Annette was a beloved partner, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, and friend to many.

Born September 3, 1962, in Merced, California to parents Armando and Mary Duarte, Annette has always been known as a hard worker, willing to show up and help out anyone in need, a faithful friend, and unceasingly loyal to her people. She was always so proud of her grandchildren and loved the chance to brag on them to anyone willing to listen.

Annette is survived by her partner of over 30 years, Robert Ramirez; her daughters, Nicole Bowman and Jennifer Serban and son-in-law Patrick Serban; and her grandchildren Michaela, Madelynn, and Archer. She is also survived by her mother Mary Duarte; sisters Yvonne Duarte, Rosie Mitchell, Lisa Leach and Ericka Duarte, brothers David Duarte and wife Theresa and Darin Duarte and wife Julie; as well as many nieces and nephews who she loved so much.

She will be missed dearly.

A celebration of Annette's life will be held on July 27, 2024, at The Well Community Church on 4545 N Palm Ave Fresno, CA 93704 at 11 a.m.
